City Nature Challenge of Greater Montréal
& Green Rosemère Project - iNaturalist

Congratulations to all our nature observers and thank you for taking part in 2023!

Rosemère residents are among the most active in Quebec! Just recently, Rosemère finished 3rd out of 82 towns in the Montreal Metropolitan Community in the 2023 Urban Nature Challenge, which aims to identify as many species as possible over the course of a weekend!

1. City Nature Challenge of Greater Montréal

Help us make an inventory of the fauna and flora of our municipality!

From April 28 to May 1, 2023, grab your camera and identify the species near your home!

2. Green Rosemère Project - iNaturalist

The Green Rosemère Project will continue over the long term. Observations can be made in two wetlands, the Miller and the Tylee Marshes, both part of the Parc de la Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, as well as the site of the former golf Course. Although access to this site is prohibited, the population neighbouring the former golf course is invited to register their observations. This citizens' initiative aims to make an inventory of the biodiversity of our municipality to better know it and ensure its preservation. Sacré-Cœur Park as well as the Forêt du Grand Coteau (Rosemere Sector) will soon be part of this project as well.
